    Using the Xbox Support Forums!

Heyo! Welcome to the Xbox One Support Forum! Here you can find help if you are having an issue with anything Xbox One. Help comes in all shapes in sizes, including fellow community members, epic Xbox Ambassadors, or official Xbox Support
Forum Agents. In addition to support.xbox.com, the forums are chock full of helpful support content. So take a look around and you may be able to find the answer you seek without even asking a question.

For transparency, we have ten (10) official Xbox Forums Staff here to help you. You can identify us by the level "S", as well as the "Official Staff" badge underneath our Gamerpics. Those fabulous agents are:

    • Misses Sunny

Additionally, we have the Xbox Preview Program, which is headed up by an amazing Support Forum veteran. Note that she will only answer questions about the Preview Program, so please do not send support PMs:

    • Miss Portia

Finally, we have some grizzled veterans who are retired, or semi-retired. These agents will not answer PMs, so please to not message them for help! These agents are:

    • Mister Gwyther
    • Mister Fitzer
    • Mister Darcy
    • Mister Barakus
    • Misses Joust
    • Miss Ermine
    • Miss Kleo

In addition to our Welcome Post, which will introduce you to the forums, we've created this handy post to guide you when using the Xbox.com Support Forums.

    • First off, check the Xbox Live Service Status page. More often than not by the time you have noticed an issue at home, our Xbox Live engineers are already working on
a resolution in order to minimize the impact on your experience. When this is the case, those issues will be listed on the Xbox Live Service Status page. If you don't see
anything posted there, it's time to hit the Xbox Support Forums.

    • Look for the forum relevant to your issue. For Xbox 360, we have several support forums that cover a wide range of topics; so no matter your question, you can find the answer here! To get the best assistance possible, be sure you're posting
in the correct forum. For example, if you are having troubles connecting your Xbox 360 to Xbox Live, checkout forum 02 - Connecting to Xbox Live on Xbox 360 first.
    • CHECK THE STICKIES! Our forums contain many beautiful posts called "stickies". These are posts that contain extra-helpful verified information, and will always be stuck on the front page of their parent forum, hence the name, stickies.
    • Browse the forums for posts by other users with the same issue. This is pretty straightforward. Just check the forums for relevant thread titles, or search the forums by the error code or message you're encountering. Similar threads may
contain the steps needed to resolve your issue.
    • Create a new thread! Alrighty, so you have checked the Xbox Live Service Status page, browsed the stickies, and no other posts out there offer adequate help. Now what? Create a post! When making a post, make sure you include as much information
about your issue as possible, including any error codes or messages you are encountering, as well as any troubleshooting steps you have already tried. Remember, something you don't include may be that key piece of info we ask for later, so try and get everything
      in your first post.

In addition to the guide above, there are a few things to keep in mind when using the forums:

    • Official Forums Support Agent hours are Monday - Friday, 9AM-5PM PST. While you may get a response from the community or an Xbox Ambassador outside of our core hours, Official Support Agents generally post within this time frame.
    • Please allow 24 hours for a response to your thread. While you will often receive a response to your issue sooner than that, we do ask that you give 24 hours for responses to be posted before you "bump" your thread. Threads are often worked
from oldest to newest, so if you bump your thread within that 24 hour window, you will put your post as the back of the line.
    • Private Messages (PMs): How to use them, and when. Private Messages, or PMs, on the Xbox.com Forums are quite different from Xbox Live Messages. To send a PM on the forums, look for the small envelope icon below the post of the person you
would like to PM. DO NOT send us Xbox Live Messages, as we will NOT respond to them.

So when do you PM a Support Agent? Normally, only when requested to provide additional information. We do not offer support via PMs, so if you message us asking for help, we will generally direct you to the appropriate forum to make a new post.

That about covers it! Thank you for your part in building the Xbox Community into the most awesome group of gamers around. It's an honor to assist you all, and we'll see you 'round the forums!
