Using The Turtle Beach X12s On The Xbox One

Hello all! I currently have an Xbox 360 and am using the Turtle Beach X12 headset for both game volume and communications with other players. I am planning to upgrade to the Xbox One (probably the Elite Bundle) at some point in the near future. Am i still
able to use my current X12 headset on the new Xbox One? I have heard that i can plug the green 3.5mm headphone jack directly into my TV for game volume. However, I tried this on my current X360 and it did not work. Furthermore, I've been told i can use the
stereo headset adapter into the One controller and use the 2.5mm talk-back cable to communicate with others. Could I just plug the pink 3.5mm headphone jack directly into the controller for a microphone?

Using Turtle Beach X12s on Xbox One

Go to this Turtle Beach page: www.turtlebeach.com/xbox-one-console-compatibility and click on the X12 picture to see their diagram of how it should be wired up.

 

You can use TB X12's one the X1 as long as you have the adapter. Ultimately it would be in your best interest to get a better headset designed specifically for the Xbox One. They are far easier to use and have much better sound quality.

 

I have Turtle Beach X41's and use them with the Xbox One without any issues, however you will not be able to plug the 2.5 mm jack into the 3.5 mm controller port as it's too large - you will need to buy a 2.5 to 3.5 mm adapter cable, they're inexpensive
so you might as well buy a couple extras just in case.

 

i recommend contacting TB about it, no idea about the new controllers with the 3.5mm adaptor, but if your using the old controller and a MS chat adapter you won't get the full benefit of bass, treble etc, you would need the TB chat adapter, which is only
available in the US.

Without it, my TB XP400's sound rubbish and the MS stereo headset I now use are significantly better sound.

(I also couldn't get the mic to work on new or old controllers with and without the adapter, although I can't get the TB adapter as I am in the UK)
