    Using the message feature on a pc for messages between friends?


    If a person cannot retrieve their message from someone on the computer what could be the problem? Any tips would be helpful. Do you have to have the smartglass app? Is there a problem with the profile? The computer a person has? The version of windows?

    XBOX app crash when clicking on the messages option.

    My Xbox app also crashes when clicking on the messages icon. This issue started this morning on my SurfacePro 3. Tried standard reboot, but still having the same issue. I can still access the messages feature directly from the XBOX1 Console. (For a
    quick workaround - You can stream to your PC and access the message feature)

    First Xbox One Update hits on February 11

    keyboards come in handy for those of us who do not use kinect... i know i sent messages quite often to some of my friends. its much easier to use smartglass to type out message than it is to use a controler.. and even easier with a keyboard... plus bt keyboards are semi common with pc's so its an easy swap if needed.

    • Sign in (DO NOT "sign up") to the Xbox website using the same email and password as your gamertag.
    • Go up to your profile at the top of the page.
    • Select "Messages" from the drop-down menu.

    Thanks Zen, but what if that doesn't work? I have a friend that says when they click messages nothing happens? They can see they have messages there, but cannot get to them?

    It's an issue with the website. There have been multiple people reporting the issue.

    Not that I know of. It's also not happening to everyone so I'm not sure how widespread it is.

    The only other thing I can suggest in the meantime is that he tried a different browser.
