Using standalone mic for chat.

Hi my headet for my Xbox 360 has broke, I was wondering whether I could use my LOGIK LDM10 PC mic for chat. I have routed the voice so that it comes through my speakers so I can still hear people. The mic has a 3.5 mm jack so if I bought a converter of some
sort would it work? Thanks.

Party Chat with Standalone Mic

Hey everyone, I am trying to use the Razer Seiren as my mic for my PC and want to use the party chat on the xbox app to talk to other people with that mic.

Is it even possible to use a standalone mic with the party chat on the app? Whenever I try it out, it does not pick up any sound even though the mic is set to the default microphone.

can you use the ps4 wireless gold headset with newer xbox one controller 3.5 mm jack?

Yeah it works I use it all the time.

You need an adapter if you want to use the chat features I believe, but for audio it works standalone.

Unfortunately this specific LOGIK microphone is not compatible with the Xbox 360 controller. A converter will not work due to lack of required compatible drivers. If you would like to find an alternative solution on the cheap you should purchase an alternative
that can be under $5.00 from
other sites.

I suggest plugging the mic into the chat pad before reattaching it to the controller. Also clean the Mic male connector end and blow out the inside of the female end inside the chat pad. If non of the following helps then I suggest using the chat pad without
the mic or not using the chat pad when wanting to use a mic.

Sorry to hear the issue is persisting! The cross on party chat is an indication that there is indeed network limitations. My first recommendation is to try connecting to party chat on a different network to see if this is true.

If you have a friend or family member's network you can try, that will really help us narrow down the issue. If it works on a different network, you may want to try a standalone modem and a standalone router that are guaranteed to work without known issues
rather than a gateway.

I use Kinect as a mic for Ghosts but it has very big limitations. The Kinect in general has a setting that allows it to pick up your voice and use it as a mic if no mic is plugged in. This works on several games but not Ghosts. Ghosts does not recognize
the Xbones mic and will not try to use it. So you can use the mic to chat, but only if you are in a party. You can host a party switch to game chat and nothing will happen, it will not recognize the mic. But if you stick with party chat in a gamemode that
allows you to play with party chat, then you can chat with your party, but you will never be able to chat with the lobby using the Kinect in Ghosts, at least as of now and the current updates.

So there you have it, Use the Kinect for friends in a party, but no Kinect for game chat in ghosts. So looking forward to the adapter when it comes out for my headset.

The headset chat mixer has nothing to do with the Mixer streaming platform. It is a standalone app which is used to higher or lower the volume of your headset, and also to higher or lower the microphone and voice of your friends.
