Using Same Gamertag Between Xbox One and Xbox 360

Before I describe the issue I want to state that I am NOT having an issue getting my GT to the Xbox One.

My issue is syncing my GT from my Xbox One TO my Xbox 360. I'd like to be able to take full advantage of the Games For Gold program and so would be switching between consoles frequently in order to play the free games on both consoles.

My question, how do I get achievements on the Xbox One and when I log in on my 360, have the new updated GamerScore?

For example: Say I have 100 GamerScore on my GT. If I get an achievement on my Xbox One for 20G I now have 120 GamerScore. If I go to play a game on my Xbox 360 from the profile stored on the hard drive how much GamerScore do I have? If the answer is 100 how
do I get my profile to sync between consoles since I can't use a USB drive? All with Xbox Live Gold of course.

Please don't tell me I have to re-download my profile to the Xbox 360 each time.

360 and One on same gold account

If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?


WHITTEN: Yes this works! You'll be able to be signed on with the same gamertag on both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One console at the same time. However, like today, you can only be signed into one Xbox 360 and one Xbox One at a time

Live Account over 360 and Xbox One

Has it been stated anywhere how it's going to work if you move to Xbox One & keep your 360 ?

Will you still be able to log into Live with your gamertag on both machines (ie swapping between the two systems at will) or will your gamertag be stuck on the Xbox One ??

 

Since you're using the same account it should automatically sync up each time you sign into the 360. Sometimes there can be a delay before the 360 will show the gamerscore you've earned on the One, but once you get a new achievement on the 360 it should
update correctly.

 

Because right now you can see I've got 107801 here but on my 360 it says I've gotten 325 score in Xbox One games but on the 360 it says 107456. If you add the difference you get the total. So the 360 does not display achievement score including Xbox One
games?

 

The 360 should display the total of both. But like I said, there can be a delay before it updates with new scores from the One. Once you earn an achievement on the 360 it should update correctly.

 

So there is no need to worry about my score getting messed up if I get an achievement on the One or the 360 and I don't need to re-sync my profile everytime on the 360 if I want to play something?

 

Please could you explain to me how I can help my son to "share" and use his previous GT from his 360 and use it on his new xbox one? When he tries to change it on the new xbox one, it says not available (obviously because it is his on the 360!).
