Using remote play on my PC from my Series X and expiring audio issues

Whenever I connect to my console from the Xbox app on my computer for remote play, I have terrible audio issues through my speakers and headphones. I updated my controller and messed around with audio settings but all I hear is loud background static noise and muffled game volume. I am not sure what to do at this point

Have you tested it with other headphone? And the headphone work fine with other apps on your computer? This happens only with games being played by remote play?

Hello jcleigh, just to make clear what this is about, are you trying to stream from Xbox to PC on the same network, are you trying to remotely play xbox through your mobile phone or are you trying to play Xcloud?

The OP is trying to use Remote Play between their PC and their Series X using the PC Xbox App:

They have tried to use remote play with their Android Device and it worked fine

I just tried the xcloud service directly from my series s and it worked absolutely flawless.

Now I am even more confused than before.

Why can I play cloud games directly from my Xbox in an astounding quality but it is not possible to remote play from Xbox to pc/ipad.

But what confuses me even more is that it works perfectly with ps remote play.

Just tested steam remote play from the PC to the iPad and that also worked wonderfully.

Maybe it's an general problem with the series s/x consoles?

Huh? Remote Play is nothing to do with Xcloud or Game Pass. And if it won't work, then how can they get it working on their Android device? And they have an Xbox so that's not the issue.

They are trying to Remote Play their Series X games from their Series X console to their PC via the Remote Play feature and using the Xbox App. This should work without an issue, as it does with their Android device. There is nothing on the Remote Play page to suggest Game Pass is needed

This has less to do with the streaming capabilities of the Series X and more to do with the fact that even when using remote play locally the Xbox is routing traffic through the Azure datacenters which makes absolutely no sense.

If you don't believe me go use remote play on an Xbox One X and it does not have this issue when using remote play locally.

All my consoles are LAN and my PS5 has no issues outputting a 1080/60fps stream locally.

It is a glaring issue that has been raised across a number of different forums online and it makes no sense.

Has less to do with folks internet setups and more to do with bad decision making from MS
