Using Prepaid Visa for DLC Content

Hello everyone, I hope I'm posting this in the right spot. If it isn't, I do apologize.

On Sunday, my friend gave me a prepaid visa card in return for my assistance to get her computer working right again. (Viruses, oh joy....) So, with that being said, I've been trying to figure out what i want to buy with this card. It then occurred to me
that there are a couple camos I've been looking at for Black Ops II. I'm still fairly new to the xbox community, becoming part of it at christmas after being gifted the 360 console. Love it to death. Anyway, is my prepaid card applicable for this purchase?
It has more than enough for a couple camo purchases, so funds shouldn't be an issue. Would I go about this the same way that I would use a normal credit card or should I just use my real card instead? Thanks to all that reply.

Not sure how in 2016, you don't use debit or credit cards but that's just me.

Anyway, could someone else confirm if using prepaid VISAs work or not? You could always go to gamestop or bestbuy, use your prepaid VISA card on a subscription xbox live card. That should work. Perhaps order a digital code on amazon with your prepaid VISA. I'm pretty sure they accept it.

I have used prepaid visa/mastercards in the past and they have worked. I never tried for a gold sub though because I would never pay full retail price for a gold sub

You can use pre-paid cards, but you would need to make sure the billing information for the card matches the billing information on you account. Not all pre-paid cards let you update that information.

Well, I guess I'll have to look on the back of the card and see what all i can do. I hope I can be sucessful. That would be nice. Thank you very much for your answer.

 

And success. I just had to register the card, is all. Bought Aqua and Pack a Punch. Definately worth the 4.24 (Both camos after tax). Thanks again Mistress Sara.

 

Same problem here but there is not billing address on the card what should I do?

@SZAKS99 - Unfortunately if you can't update the billing address on the card to match yours, you would have to use a different form of payment like PayPal. Wish I had better news.

You can always make a new thread with your issue to get the best assistance. That way you get more personalized answers without unintentionally taking over another thread.
