    Using Pre-paid Xbox cards to pay Visa Credit card balance? is it possible?


    I bought some content for FM5 and recently got an email from my Bros at Microsoft concerning a balance that could not go through because i ran out of money on the Visa card. Could i just punch in a $25 Pre-paid Xbox card and the service will automatically
    pay of the balance from the Visa card for me? (Seems my account is suspended until i found out if i can do this)

    Yeah it's legit. Though more and more companies are starting to accept them. Should be able to buy a pre-paid subscription card from a store and use it though, that won't require a credit/debit card on file.

    Doesn't trust banks or credit card companies. Tries to use their pre-paid cards.

    I fear for this person's future when they try to buy a house with no credit. Maybe they are rich and will just buy it out right with their mattress money.

    As for a solution to your problem, use your prepaid card from a company you don't trust to buy a 12-month or 3-month Xbox Live Gold card from the store.

    You can't pay an outstanding balance with a pre paid card.

    You need to contact support again & pay the outstanding balance with a credit/debit card.

    serious problem.

    In responce to Vernierslake, I was trying to use a prepaid mastercard to pay off my balance. Not a pre paid membership card. I have since called microsoft in order to address the issue, And was told I have to use a Credit card to pay off my balance, not
    a pre paid. Thanks for the help.

    serious problem.

    You cannot and never have been able to pay off outstanding balances using pre paid membership cards. You need to use a credit card to pay off that bill.

    I misunderstood. You can not use a prepaid Xbox Live card to payoff a balance.

    I thought you meant a pre-paid visa card or similar.
