    Using old xbox360 GT for new xbox one (and keeping it for both consoles)


    Please could someone explain to me how I can help my son to set it so that he can use his previous GT from his 360 and use it on his new xbox one, AND keep it for both consoles (he switches between the two).

    When he tries to change it on the new xbox one, it says not available (obviously because it is his on the 360!). Is it possible?

    Please answer with step by step if possible - sorry, a Mum doing my best to keep up with technology!!

    Did Any one Else have issuse when transferring data from xbox one to xbox one x?

    Did Any one Else have issuse when transferring data from xbox one to xbox one x Via Network transfer?

    If so try resetting the old xbox. Settings>System>console Info>reset Console>reset and keep my games and apps.





    Then sign into your new console And transfer data.





    I wasted a lot of time before I discovered this, as my new xbox one x did not see old xbox, , even though I had set allow data transfer on both consoles.

    Downloaded games can only be run online on LIVE

    I replaced my Xbox360 console because of the RROD old one. I used the original harddisk on new Xbox360. It works.

    Here is the issue:

    The games I purchased before in the original harddisk can be only run online in Xboxlive. I can't open them offline. Using old xbox360 GT for new xbox one (and keeping it for both consoles) :(

    But I can run them both online and offline on my old RROD one before.

    And I've also done the authentic thransfer on my new Xbox360.

    How could I do to make the download games run both online and offline?

    It sounds like he's trying to creating a new gamertag instead of signing into the One with his original account.

    This will walk you through signing into the One -
    support.xbox.com/.../sign-in-solution     Since he should already have an account and gamertag, follow those instructions.

    Thank you - I have followed the instructions, but when he goes to sign in under the Microsoft email and password we use, a message comes up with " (our email address) "is here already. Another user on this device uses this microsoft account, so you can't
    add it here." (even though we were signed out.)

    I think we would have to delete it from the new xbox which my son doesn't want to do as he will already lose stuff. I think we will just have to continue with the new gamertag?

    i have redeemed the code in my former xbox360.

    i wont be able to use it again ? or to do a sub between the use in xbox360 to xbox-one?

    i am no longer using the xbox360 so it is just a waste.

    is there anyway to use the code in my new console instead of the old one ?

    oohh!!! i can top this one!!! scam indeed....

    if you have an OLD Xbox360 hard drive ( the grey ones you plug into the side ), Microshaft has discontinued them........and the Xbox360S hard drives are not compatible with the old Xbox360s....but yet microsoft released a hybrid cable with both connector
    types so you can upgrade and transfer your old hard drive data to a new Xbox360S....hmmmm...scammers
