    I just got hughes net. I know that I cannot play online with satellite internet. I before had exede satellite internet and was able to watch netflix from my xbox. Now that I have hughes net, i was hoping for the same. I tested the connection, but it didn't
    fully connect. My xbox needs and update, and it won't update without being connected, it keeps giving me an error code. And then when i try and reconfigure the connection it warns me that all users that are signed it will get kicked out. And then it says my
    xbox live account has been signed out. So, i WAS signed in??

    I'm really confused and just want my netflix to work! Any suggestions??

    Hughes eat gen5

    just got satellite from Hughes Net- the gen 5. And Xbox 360 won't connect to internet now. Any advice

    hell no hughes net is crap dissconnected the day after i got it. played netflix fine but no games and if you jumped into a game lag city.

    Can't connect to any multiplayer

    Hi Sr- I don't have any good answer for you at this time, but a simple search has shown me most people cannot play any online Xbox games with Hughes net. Seems as though the ping is astronomically high (no pun intended).Some work but that vast majority
    seem not to.

    there are tons of articles out there with online gaming and Hughes net not just for Live service. I am hoping someone with Hughes net can chime in and provide some guidance.

    I assume your talking about my Hughes net modem if so there are no user settings on it , i can view the status of items but unable to make changes to them . Hughes Net HNS1000 modem .

    Thanks for everyones help , I figure it has to be something simple that i'm missing ..

    I also take it there is no way to push apps to the console via online like you can do with games ..

    And I believe dish net is pretty much the same as Hughes net. But yeah that's what happens to me, on BF3, borderlands 2 and magic

    Can't download update?!

    It's a system update for the 360 on a slim console. The message has to do with the update not completing, and it says to sign into xbox live a system update is required.

    I have a netgear router, and have hughes net modem. This computer is the one wired to the router/modem.
