Using my TV's in build tuner

Hello. I have a problem watching TV using my xbox. Currently i have a Panasonic TX-P65VT50E TV, it has a built-in satelite tuner with conditional access module (CAM) slot. So i can watch tv programs just by turning on my TV. But when i
try to setup my xbox, i have a "We've lost your TV signal" error. Any idea how to setup my xbox?

Also i'm using Yamaha YSP-4300 Sound bar to connect my TV to xbox. It looks like TV>Yamaha>Xbox one. I have no problem turning on and off both things by using voice commands on xbox, so i know that xbox recognise TV and Yamaha.

Xbox one TV digit tuner

I understand that the tuner used USB not the HDMI In, does that mean I can run my apple tv through the HDMI as well as tv?

Microsoft just needs to release the digital TV tuner in the US now to complete the tradeoff.

If you want your xbox one to show / snap the tv signal your set-up has to be like this:

(Not mentioning the soundbar for simplicity)

tuner->xbox->tv

In your configuration the xbox does not get in touch with the tv signal at all.

So xbox-tv-magic is not for people with tuners built into TVs (like you and me)

A solution would be to buy a seperate tuner if your are willing to pay for something you already have...

Would have been nice if they would have added a tuner to the xbox itself for these cases. I don't have a cable box, so I can't route it through, but I've been using my raspberry pi for my media center and have that hooked up instead.

This may be irrelevant, but I have a question about the TV tuner. I understand that you plug the tuner into the XB1 through USB, not HDMI. I have an Xbox 360 hooked up to my XB1 through the HDMI-in port. In order to play 360 games, I have to use the TV app,
and the TV tuner uses the TV app as well in order to work. I also understand that when you plug in the TV tuner, the OneGuide separates the TV tuner channels from the "HDMI content". My question is this: if I have a TV tuner with a coax cable connected through
the XB1's USB port AND an Xbox 360 connected through the XB1'S HDMI-in port (both at the same time), can I switch between my Xbox 360 and my TV tuner when using the TV app? Thanks for the help!

If the laptop had a built in tv card/tuner, then yes, as it then becomes like a tv and usually includes s-video and composite ports. mine used to plug into the composite ports on my tv tuner and this made it possible to play.

no there are no problems when i use the tv tuner for OTA Tv. it displays the channels correctly and views them in great quality. Unless the tv tuner is required for use with the STB though i wont be using it.
