Using my Fallout 4 Xbox saves on my PC

I spent over 5 days worth of time on my Fallout 4 game on my Xbox One X and now Have Fallout 4 on my PC thanks to Game Pass. I would like to transfer my Xbox saves to my pc so I can continue working on the game without starting over. How can I do this?

Unfortunately you can't. The game is not a Play Anywhere title and doesn't support cross-saves, so you would start over if you play on the PC.

my **** roommate used my xbox 1 and it over rode my fallout 4 saves? is there anyway to recover them?

Yes I’ve cleared over 100 gb on my Xbox but xcloud still won’t work for fallout 4 and it’s only fallout 4 that has a problem. I tried using cloud gaming on my Xbox instead but it still didn’t work. My game starts syncing and then says “we can’t save any more data for this game or app” and says my Xbox is out of space for saved data

Based on the description, you are trying to install the game in your main PC and wanted to start the game where you left in your other device. Let us check and see on what we can do to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

If we may ask, are you playing the game through Xbox app or using other app?

Your Fallout 4 save game file can be found by default here: C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Fallout4. Copy this save file to your main PC and place it in the same location. If the file is too large for your transfer method, you can compressed the file.

To check if your game saves have synced, launch Fallout 4 on your main PC and see if your progress has been saved. If you still have issues, you can try manually uploading your game save from your laptop to the cloud and then downloading it on your main PC. To do this, go to the "Saved Data" section in the Xbox app on your laptop, select Fallout 4, and then click on "Upload to cloud". Once the upload is complete, go to the "Saved Data" section on your main PC, select Fallout 4, and then click on "Download from cloud".

Xbox cloud content would be shared with the PC if you're playing an
Xbox Play Anywhere game.

Fallout 4 is unfortunately not one of these titles, so your Xbox saves are not transferrable to the PC version of FO4 (or vice versa).
