Using microsoft store vouchers on fortnite

Both my sons got Xbox vouchers for Christmas, child 1 uses the Xbox to play fortnight and he put the voucher codes in to the Microsoft redeem website using my hotmail account and then went in to the fortnite store and the credit was there, all good.

Child 2 uses the windows 10 laptop to play fortnite, the game is just downloaded on to the laptop and it has an epic account connected my gmail email address. I went in to the Microsoft redeem website using my gmail account and added the voucher codes and
the credit is there but when we go to fortnite its not. I googled a few things and then I made an xbox account using the gmail address and then linked the epic account to this but still not working. Does anyone have any ideas on how to use this credit on
fortnite?

you need to add credit on your epic profile not Microsoft for child 2.

Fortnite say this is not them, Microsoft/you are now saying contact Amazon! Microsoft voucher has been used and purchased items on Xbox store.. then Xbox recalled it? I can’t get onto Microsoft as they are experiencing high volume of queries.. I’m guessing I’m not the only one in this position

For me, yeah, I got a code from GameStop. Basically it was a voucher for $60 in the microsoft store, then used that money to buy the digital copy on the 360.

If you mean store credit (a Xbox store voucher) then yes.

Xbox or Microsoft store credit can be used against any item in the store, even if it's already discounted through specials, games with gold or a subscription discount such as Games Pass or EA Access.
