Using microphone with Xbox one s

No, there is no Microphone you can use on the Xbox One. If you want to use it for broadcasting or Streaming, then you have to use a PC to stream, as that is the only way to use a microphone to stream or broadcast your games.

Unfortunately not, I'm really hoping this is a feature that will become available with Project Scarlet. I feel like they will as they've mentioned streaming being a big focus point for the next gen!

I think there's a way to use a microphone if you have a controller with the headset 3.5mm plug on it :

Or use the adapter for a headset :

my xbox one s will not detect a microphone even though there is one pluged in. I have tried multiple microphones and two diferent controlers and it still doset work

have you tried resetting controller and replanting batteries

If you're on the Xbox One, One S, or One X, I believe you can hook up your Kinect to work as a microphone as well, from memory.
