Using MacMini to share internet from Xfinity Hotspot

Has anyone tried this or had success? I have an Xfinity account and use the available hotspot in my area for wifi on my computers and devices but I do not have internet service at my home. I figured out how to use a pre-authenticated alternate mac address
on the xbox one to connect to xbox-live, but I had issues with online play and services such as U-Play, likely related to the limited NAT and not having the option to port forward. I figured out that I can set up my mac mini to connect to the hot spot and
share the connection through ethernet, which worked for a while and relieved the issue with Uplay and gave me a better connection for multiplayer. I decided to go one step further and hook a wireless router to the computer to rebroadcast the signal and allow
the Wii, Apple Tv, etc. to also access the internet. The xbox 1 is now connected through ethernet to the wireless router. This set up works great when it works, but I have to reset the Macs wifi and the router daily or I have no connection at all. I'm wondering
if it's an issue with the Xfinity hotspot or if the wireless router is interfering with the Macs connection. I recently traded my 1 year old xbox 1 in for a brand new one. Would love some help or ideas if anyone else is familiar with the setup!

Xbox ONE browser cursor disappears

The cursor for the Xbox Edge browser disappears when clicking on a drop-down menu list. I have tried every button combination on the controller to bring it back up, but nothing works. I am trying to purchase an internet pass from the nearby xFinity hotspot,
as I just moved and do not have any internet service at my residence.

This is not being done directly from the Edge App, when accessing the network settings > setup wireless connection > choose xFinity hotspot.

Can not connect to the Internet

I just did a search on xfinity wifi, and from what I found that internet system seems built more for mobile devices and laptop hotspot connections... Which are no good for a gaming console's connection requirements.

Hello, Xfinity Wifi hotspots are also part of your contract, if you dont pay your account you will not be able either to use the Xfinity hotspots. Probably in your phone you are using the data conection instead Wifi.

If the hotspot has a web-based authorization process you need to pass through (or a login page) upon connection to the hotspot, the Xbox cannot support that.

However, there is a workaround. You can try connecting to the hotspot with your phone, log into the webpage with your credentials, and then change the Wireless MAC address of your Xbox to the Wifi MAC of your android phone. Disconnect your Android phone
from Wifi as soon as you get them connected so you don't get conflicts.

In the Xbox network settings, go to "Advanced Settings" and select "Alternate MAC Address" to change your Xbox's MAC.
