    Using Kinect with a40s


    So since I got the chat adapter a couple months ago I have been using my Astro a40s for my xbox one. I have been able to chat with people, gamechat and party chat just fine, as well as using skype on my computer thanks to the mixamp. Today, however, i plugged
    in my Kinect for the first time, so I could navigate the (for lack of a better word) *** user interface better, but now I cannot use my mic for talking. When the chat adapter is plugged in, i can hear audio and chat through my headset in both game and party,
    but I cannot talk to either. If i unplug the chat adapter, i am able to speak in party chat with the kinect, but i do not want this as it allows people to hear things going on in my house, which is probably annoying to them. so my question is this: Is there
    a way to keep my astros plugged in with the chat adapter and use the mic on them to talk in game/party chat, and only use the kinect for voice commands?

    I run the A40s and yet to have Mic issues. My only issue Ive seen so far is when the latest updated was released now sometimes I can not here people speaking or cuts in and out. Also I unhooked my Kinect since the new June updated is out and supposedly no
    longer needed but then I lost everything when using A40s....(Sounds,Mic)

    you can uncheck the use Kinect for chat in settings/Kinect

    Reducing voice volume when playing a game?

    I want to use my old Astro A40's on the XB1 and the only way to do this is to use the Kinect mic. Whenever I join a party the game volume immediately reduces. I'm surprised you haven't experienced this yourself!
