Using kinect as cctv device

Hi all, now this subject may have been touched apon once or twice before. christmas eve we were burgled took kids pressies etc but xbox and iPads didnt get touched,

my question is, are there any apps out there that you could install on the xbox that would for instance, start running at certain times and capture movement etc and then upload to a sever, I know there's a big question over privacy but if I had such an app
running we would of had some lovely vid/pics of the little **** stealing our stuff.

i have read that you can connect the kinect upto a pc, but I would love a little app that you could install onto the xbox one that takes care of everything for you, any developer types out there I would gladly pay for this app as I'm sure others would too,

MS just make it so the Kinect can be unplugged

I do find it odd how people can moan and moan about the Kinect when you will have your picture taken by CCTV and yet nobody moans about that, although the one main aspect is paying money for something that should have always been optional.

Has anyone ever managed to turn off a Gov CCTV system?

Console thinks a headset is connected when one isn't

If you have a kinect attached to your console. The xbox could be using the kinect microphone as an alternative to the normal mic. Also make sure you headset is assigned to a profile if it categorized as a device.

It is an interesting thought. Perhaps someone will make an 'indie game' with a motion sensor to record when you are not home. However it would have to be instant upload somewhere for when the console gets ripped off.

PS: I believe you can still call in to MS and report your console stolen. It will then get blocked from Live, making it somewhat useless.

Hi thanks for your comments, that's what I had in mind, a stream to a server which saves the last half hour or so, the vital minutes when your home is being ransacked, with nice pics for the police to use.

If I had the knowledge I'd be writting one right now

So why complain so much medic about the x1 if you had no intention of getting one. Are you this active on CCTV forums?
