using keyboard/mouse remotely with Xbox one

My son wants to play some Xbox games using a keyboard mouse combination. I have figured out how to send the Xbox one to our networked PC (remote feature). However, I want to still use the keyboard/mouse on the PC while playing Xbox one games remotely. Do NOT want to use a regular controller. Is there any way of doing this?

I know I can use GamePass directly on the PC, but our PC is not powerful enough to run some of the larger games. I know we can also probably connect the keyboard/mouse directly to the Xbox, but this is not something we are interested in either.

The PC is in a certain room that we want to be able to play Xbox games on a PC. I guess basically we are looking to be able to use the processor of the Xbox and then stream it to the PC , but also use the keyboard/mouse while playing streamed games.

Is this possible and/or is there maybe another way to do this?

Ok, so firstly you should be able to just plug in the mouse/keyboard USB and use it (if they are supported) you shouln't need an adapter to use mouse and keyboard on Xbox One since mouse and keyboard support has been added.

Secondly I'm not aware of black ops 4 supporting mouse and keyboard use on console, so if the developers have not enabled mouse and keyboard support on Xbox One, then using an adapter to be able to use your mouse and keyboard will be considered cheating.

For the following to work you must make the menu selections using your keyboard. If you use the controller to make your menu selections to start the game you will be placed in a room for those with a controller and your keyboard/mouse will be non functional
to make it fair to other players. To enter the room for keyboard and mouse users the game must be started by selecting the options using the keyboard/mouse. Hope this helps.

No as it's is up to the developer to allow or disallow keyboard and mouse

If you are playing pure pc games then you won't have an issue

If you use cloud or remote play you need a controller as the games are designed for controllers not keyboard or mouse

Xbox One, not all game and app supports mouse and keyboard. For some games and app, the mouse and keyboard support feature need to enabled before you can use it. It's recommended you consult the game or app publisher if you're not sure about this.

2. Almost every USB keyboard work with Xbox One. It depends on the game or the app you'll play on Xbox One. To use a USB keyboard or mouse on Xbox One, you'll need an input adapter. See

3. Yes. The controller will still be active when you're using the keyboard or mouse. And you can use the controller to configure the mouse.
