Using Hori Fighting Stick Alpha Official Microsoft with Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

Hello,

I just got my online copy of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves two days ago (after preorder) and to my dismay my Hori Fighting Stick Alpha Official Microsoft does not work. When I start the game the whole joystick goes numb and nothing works in the game, not the buttons or the stick. The joystick remains turned on because the main button brings me to the Xbox menu and I can turn on the microphone/rotate between users (two small buttons right of the main menu button). However the joystick does not work and I can't play the game unless using a pad, which I don't want to. I want the best gaming experience and in a 2D fighting game this implies using a joystick.

Can you please help? The joystick costed me about €130 and the game, €60. I am not a rich person. I can't afford to buy another joystick.

Hello Oriol, It’s definitely frustrating to run into compatibility issues, especially when you're looking forward to enjoying a new title.

This could be a case of the game not yet supporting certain peripherals at launch. I recommend checking Hori’s website to see if there’s a firmware update available for your device. It's also a good idea to monitor the game for any upcoming patches that might address controller compatibility.

In the meantime, reaching out to both Hori and the game's support team to report the issue is a good step. The more feedback they receive, the more likely they are to prioritize a fix. Hopefully, support is added soon so you can enjoy the game with your preferred setup.

Hi there! Thanks for your answer! I have reached and been able to communicate with SNK (the game developer), and though I have sent several emais and communications to the Hori developers, they still haven't answered. I hope they both talk or something and solve it -I have heard this is happening with a lot of joysticks in the Xbox, for this particular game.

Crossed fingers, touching wood! I hope they fix it as soon as possible!

On Amazon there are good prices including this one Hori
Fighting Commander pad if you liked fighting pad as well, however there is awalys good prices anywhere!
