Using headphones with VGA cable

Discus and support Using headphones with VGA cable in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I just bought the vga cable for my xbox 360, but I want to be able to use my turtle beach headphones with them.     I just bought the vga cable for my xbox 360, but I want to be able to use my turtle beach headphones with them. How would I go about doing that?

    can i use razer megalodon headphones on my xbox through my pc?

    If i connect my Xbox to my pc monitor using a hd vga cable will my headphones which are plugged into my pc work? Or do i need my headphones to be plugged into the Xbox?

    Now when you say VGA cable, did you buy something like this?

    Or did you buy a actual vga cable, Because the Xbox 360 does not have a VGA port, You will need one of those adapters (linked above) to use for display, then use a controller headset adapter. ( Get them of Ebay for a couple dollars)

    Can't seem to get any sound with a used VGA cable.

    The stereo jack I linked to is the same one that comes with the official VGA cable. The stereo jack is 3.5mm, the same size a typical set of headphones use. If your screen accepts a set of headphones, it will also accept the mini jack.

    You can't get sound through a VGA cable, that's definitely right. I'm not sure which 3.5mm audio jack you're talking about, but if you can connect the red and white cables from the AV cable to a 3.5mm audio jack and connect that to an audio INPUT on your
    monitor, that should work for sound. You would of course need to make sure that it's an audio input on your monitor (not a headphone out jack) and that you have either speakers in your monitor or headphones to use.

    Rainbow Zombie you are thinking of the RCA cables (red white yellow). Gnomenator is using VGA cables. Very different cables. These are VGA cables. Gnomenator is using a VGA to HDMI adapter.

    Here is the cable Ghomenator probably has coming out of their 360.
