Using gear shift paddles as throttle/brake on madcatz steering wheel .

Hi mate, ok I have

Steering dz 5%

steering sat 100

Steering linearity 5

Throtle dz 0

Throttle sat 100

Brake dz 0

Brake sat 100

Vibration 50

Wheel strength 100

Wheel weight 100

I look forward to see if anyone else posts theirs, mines not perfect so would like to try something else, but can't be bothered tinkering no more, and this feels good for me. I think adjusting the brake and throttle dz's and sat's would be good but every
time I try something new I just go back to square one.

My setup is for all assists off by the way except gears, and I use the right gear shift as handbrake so it's easy to just flick with your finger for handbrake turns.

this feels alot better than it did but i think it still could do with a tweek.

I'd recommend not using face buttons for throttle/brake. The triggers have a much longer "throw distance", making it much easier to apply them gradually and smoothly, similar to real car pedals.

I use a wheel myself, but lots of people seem to like RT/LT as throttle/brake, with clutch on the A button, and gear up / gear down mapped to X/B.

if you can get a sequential gear shift you could remap that in the controls so that pulling it registered as handbrake and use the paddles for shifting gears. I used to do that when I used a wheel on my PC and it worked perfectly.

The best one I have used is the Microsoft FF wheel. Only problem is they no longer make them. The only place I have found any is online auctions and such. Now the MadCatz Xbox 360 Steering Wheel that Gamestop sells is not that bad. It has a return spring
to center the wheel and a shift lever to the side of the wheel. I just never got the feel for it after my force feed back wheel.
