Using game pass on pc and xbox at the same time

I have xbox game pass ultimate and play on both series X and PC. What I would like to do is crossplay games like back 4 blood with my son while he is on xbox and im on pc. When I sign into gamepass on pc it kicks my profile off the xbox. Not only can we not play the same game but he also cant play any gamepass games that are downloaded. Is there a work around? Am I stuck with only one device playing windows games at a time in one household?

Hi TonyTempleton2, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Just a friendly reminder though that you can only play on one device at a time but of course, there is a workaround, since your son is on the Xbox console you may need to create a different profile for him and then set your account as Home Xbox on the console in that way your subscription will be shared with him and play all the games that you own as well as play together.

To do so, simply follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to your account on the Xbox.

2. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

3. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

4. Select "Make this as MY Home Xbox"

It is that way because a profile is meant for use by one person. You're trying to use two functions without having two accounts, so it shouldn't be surprising that
it isn't working.

What you could do would be to create a new gamertag to play AOE online since you don't need a gold account for Games For Windows Live. Then you could be playing your game and she could be using the other account to watch movies through Netflix.

Well that's totally unacceptable, its just like telling someone that either watch tv or listen to radio, you cannot do both even though you paid for both. Guess MS just want to hoard more of people's money.

I have about 6 PCs and I am using the same game pass on all the PCs and also on iPad and iPhone. Of course, I can only play one PC at a time. I cannot have two games running on two different computers at the same time.

All Game Pass (basic and ultimate or any other plan) works on multiple PCs.
