    Using Game DLC with multiple profiles.


    I just got my xbox 360 from repair. Had some trouble playing DLC from another profile and contacted support. They told me that you have to buy the DLC for each individual profile to play it now. Evidentially it was a recent policy change. It this true
    and when did it go in place.

    While nyteflier is correct and the functionality to "share Gold" isn't on the Xbox 360 console. We have a very cool feature coming to Xbox One called "Home Gold".

    Hello.

    1. You cannot share live that way. Only she will have gold access on her account (this is changing for the xbox one platform!)

    2. If she downloaded a game on her profile, only her account can play it offline.

    Are you sure you got the same console back from repair?

    If you didn`t you will need to do a licence transfer.

    I haven`t heard of a change in DLC policy, i thought it was licensed to the account and the console its downloaded on.

    It has the same serial number. But earlier I "bought" the free with gold game through the website and I went to my download queue and it shows "assigned to other console".

    Which is why I suggested a
    License transfer     in your other thread.

    Just do it and stop wasting time making multiple threads.

    If you havent transferred the license dont do it .It can only be done 2 or 3 times per year so you better know what youre doing beforehand.If you download a game the license will go to the profile and console it was originally downloaded to.Anyone can play
    any DLC if they use the console that originally downloaded it,provided the license has not been transferred.So if you wish to play the content with a 2nd profile use the original console you downloaded to and you should be fine.If you transfer licenses to
    another console then it tranfers all licenses to that console but you still have to download each game or add on again before it can be played by other profiles.Of course then the other profiles wont be able to play on the first console.Its tricky .

    While it may have the same serial number the console ID will be different to your old console. Performing a licence transfer with the account that you downloaded the content with will allow all accounts on the same console to access the content
