Using Controller with Two Xbox One Consoles

Hello,

We have 2 xBox one consoles (i know, its a bit much, but we have 6 kids so sharing is an issue). When we try to use a controller on the 2nd console that has been previously synced to the 1st console, it will disconnect within a few seconds. Presumably it
is reconnecting to the 1st console (which is one room over).

Does anybody know if there is a way to tell the first console to "forget" the controller such that it is removed or de-registered? If we use the controller that came with the 2nd console with the 2nd console it works fine. But using any controller with the
2nd console previously used with the 1st console causes it to disconnect from the 2nd console within a few seconds.

Surely we are not the only family with 2 xbox consoles that has seen this problem?

just a thought, but have you added the controller to the second console under settings/......I think it was accessories/devices?

I am having the exact same problem! Me and my brother have a console each, and after he borrowed my controller to use it, it now will not connect back to my own Xbox. Very frustrating!

I only have 2 XBOX One consoles. The XBOX Live account is associated with my account which I use for parental controls on my two sons accounts. They each use their own separate account to play on their own XBOX One console.

- 2 XBOX One consoles

- my admin account with XBOX Live subscription

- my two sons have their own accounts they use to play on each of their XBOX One Consoles.

Hey there Tech!

I'm not familiar with that specific game mode. But if the game allows split screen play then all you would need would be two controllers, one console, one copy of the game, and two people in the same room.

If you wanted to play it over Xbox Live however, you would need two consoles, two copies of the game, two controllers, and two Xbox Live Gold Memberships.

We understand that there is an issue being experienced in reference to one of the two controllers not being able to sync wirelessly to the Xbox One console.

We suggest the following troubleshoot your Xbox One wireless controller support guide, which will guide you through
