    Using an external hard drive with an xbox one S


    I've used up almost all of my 1 TB capacity on my xbox one s, so I was thinking of getting an external hard drive.

    I've never used one before, so I have a few questions.

    First, should I transfer all the Games I have on there now to this hard drive? Or just put the new Games I want to get on the external hard drive?

    Also, once you transfer the Games to the external hard drive, do they also still remain on the console too or will they no longer be on the hard drive of the console?

    Just wondering because I was thinking what happens if the external hard drive breaks and I lose everything on there. I would have to re download and install everything right?

    you can either delete content, or you can use an external USB hard drive to get additional storage. I personally have a 3TB external drive to avoid this issue.
