  1. Using an Australian Xbox 360 in Canada

I've bought an Xbox 360 as well as many games when I was living in Australia but now I came to to Canada along with my 360 but even with a proper adaptor, it doesn't work at all. Even the light on the power bar doesn't turn on. Is there any one who has any
advice? Anything I can do about it? If it had something to do with the power here, will getting another power change something?

    Many thanks!

    :)

    Hi,

Unfortunately your PAL console is unable to read NTSC games, it is not a question of power brick or kind of TV but games format.

And so your current PAL games will not work with a NTSC console, so if you moved to Canada for a long period, you'll have to buy new NTSC console and games...

Hi there, Canadian consoles use power supplies with 120V @ 60Hz whereas Aussie consoles with 240V @ 50Hz and I believe this is to do with what power comes out of the outlet so I would definitely say that's where your issue is stemming from.

As the power supply is only compatible with the PSU of the consoles region, I don't think you can just get a Canadian power supply as it won't plug in the back, see here for more information:

Your power adapter should be doing the converting. You can pick up a power converter at any electronics store. Best Buy, The Source, etc. Also no Canadian games will work in your console as you're in a different region.

And yes when we buy a book it tells us the value of the Canadian and Australian "Dollar" I'd assume everything costs more in Australia and Canada. [/quote]

Not when the Australian Dollar, is worth more than the US Dollar... Our Digital Content, should be cheaper...

    Moving to New Zealand

Plus the Xbox 360 is region locked, NTSC Xbox 360s (USA, Canada, Mexico) will only play American games, just like PAL Xbox 360s (Europe, Australia, and New Zealand) will only play European/Australian games, and then NTSC-J Xbox 360s (Japan) will only play
Japanese games. So just buy a PAL Xbox 360 and rebuild your collection from there, otherwise, I would upgrade to the Xbox One if I were you, Xbox One is region free.
