Using a WD My Cloud as storage

I recently bought a Western Digital My Cloud that has 1-2 TB of storage. I was wondering if there is a way I can use the device for storage for my Xbox One. Does anyone know of a way to do this? I've heard in the past that they are two different file formats
but figured I'd ask.

1. Settings > TV & OneGuide > Troubleshooting > Audio

2. WD TV Live is it a safe guess that it is a Western Digital External HDD?

3. Using the Xbox One as a storage device, not exactly. You are able to stream via Play To (through Media Player), OneDrive (cloud save formally known as SkyDrive), or via SmartGlass.

Can I copy music from Cloud?

Can I copy music from cloud storage to my 360 hard drive, that I saved to it (cloud storage) from my laptop? My 360 wont read the cd's that I have so I saved the music to cloud storage using my laptop and want to listen it using my 360.

You should be able to stream content via DLNA from the NAS to your console. There's some additional info on the Xbox One support page about connecting the console to media servers on the network.

I can't tell you the difference between all of them, but it's mostly the software that comes with it. I think the cloud can connect to a router and then any device on that network can use it as storage, though I don't think that works for the Xbox unless
you connect it directly and then it formats all that software off it so it's essentially a waste.

I got the WD 'Elements' 4tb which even states on the box 'basic storage' so I'd recommend any of the same with higher or lower capacity.

I really don't want all of my saves on the cloud.. If I'm using my own storage, it would be illegal for MS to "scan" it. With the cloud, MS owns the storage and could use it as much as they want.
