Using a USB Mic with an Xbox One console

Hello, I have a friend's son, an 11yo, who insist on using a USB microphone with his Xbox One console. Problem is we're seeing videos posted online stating it can't be done, unless you have a Yeti and the following accessories, an Xbox One stereo headset
adapter, a CTI splitter, and a 3.5mm male to male jack. I purchased a Razer Seiren X microphone for him and he tried hooking it up with the accessories as seen in the Yeti video that he found online, but it still doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated,

USB is for controller charging purposes only, not for use unless you use the xbox adapter. Connecting your headphones to the console's USB port will not allow audio to work on your headphones.

Thank you all for your help, comments, etc... My friend's 11yo son and I both seen a video which made it possible for him to use the mic while he plays on his Xbox One console. He has the mic connected to his iPad while he signs onto the Xbox One app on
his iPad with a different Microsoft account than the main account he uses with his Xbox One console, and invite his main account to the party as seen in this video...

There's a long process to getting a USB mic to work, rather get him a wireless Headset with a USB connection.

Non-compatible headsets

The following headsets are incompatible with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter:

Mad Catz Tritton Warhead headset
Mad Catz Tritton Primer headset (Mad Catz offers an adapter for the Primer headset to convert the 2.5-mm audio jack to a 3.5-mm audio jack. Contact Mad Catz for support.)
The Xbox 360 Wireless Headset and Xbox 360 Wireless Bluetooth Headset
Headsets with this 2.5-mm connector will not work because of the connector format. This connector includes a long, cylindrical pin in the middle of the connecting side that does not fit into the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.

USB is for charging purposes only on the controller, not for use unless you use the xbox adapter. Plugging your headphones into the usb port of the console will not enable the audio to work on the headphones.
