  1. Using a US Xbox Live Account on a Korean Xbox 360.

Not sure if this is the right area to post this question, so I apologize in advance if this post causes and annoyance or confusion.

I'm an American living in South Korea and I intend to buy a South Korean Xbox 360. I want to use my US account () on my Korean 360 instead of making a new Korean Xbox Live account.

Is it possible to do this?

Does the Korean region have a marketplace with downloadable titles? If so, where can I find a comprehensive list titles available?

Do I have to change the region in order to us my Xbox Live account on my Korean Xbox 360? I tried to change my Xbox account region on
Sign in to your Microsoft account, but South Korea wasn't on the list of available options.

If I can indeed change regions, do I still have to use my US banking card or do I use my Korean banking card when making purchases on the marketplace?.

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

  2. Korean Xbox 360 in US

    Hello there,

I have a South Korean xbox360, which I am planning to move to the US with me.

Is it possible to use there? I know about the voltage difference. 220V to 110V, so if I change my power adapter, will it work? and is it easy to buy US compatible power adapters for Xbox 360? Any help would be appreciated,

    Thanks, K

360 and One on same gold account

If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?

WHITTEN: Yes this works! You'll be able to be signed on with the same gamertag on both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One console at the same time. However, like today, you can only be signed into one Xbox 360 and one Xbox One at a time

    Hi IroncladDabbers,

If im not mistaken under country its just Korea and not South Korea, Are you sure you weren't just looking in the wrong place?

    http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/live/countries

it says Korea is a supported country for the xbox live service. So it should just be as easy as migrating the profile to that region, If someone with a bit more knowledge in this comes along they could probably give a bit more infomation on this topic

  5. Korea goes by many different names, and I checked the migration list several times and it's not on there under any of its potential names. Korea is indeed a supported country but it doesn't show up in the migration list for some reason.

  6. You will have to do an account migration to be able to use your account and purchase content and ect. If you cannot find the option on the website, you may have to contact xbox support and request they do an account migration escalation. They will have to
send it up to a tier 3 agent and it may take a couple weeks to get taken care of but that is what is needed if you plan on staying in Korea for a while.

Only take that option if you cannot get your account migrated from the website as your region like you stated wasn't showing up. I personally havn't checked to see myself what there is but if you cannot find it then the only other option would be to contact
support for them to migrate your account manually.

When migrating, I believe you will/may lose any currency currently on your account so be sure to spend them and once switched, your us bank card probably will not be able to be used, so you will have to use your Korean banking account

Using a US Xbox Live Account on a Korean Xbox 360.

Here is how it works assuming your current account was created in the US. When you sign in to xbox live on a Korean xbox you will connect to the US marketplace and everything will work fine assuming you purchase new games if you are playing on the 360
since they use the NTSC-J format.

The region has to do with the account not the console. If you migrate you will then connect to the Korean marketplace and be forced to use a local bank card.. Another thing to consider is the marketplace content may be different and if you switch you may
not be able to get what you want.

    Personally I wouldn't switch unless it's a permanent move.

A few small additions when moving the account to another region:

    - the dashboard might be shown in that regions language as well

    - Any balance currently on the account will be removed

    - An Account migration can only be done once every 3 months

    - You may loose any previously bought content

For full information on the Account Migration check this link:
    support.xbox.com/.../change-region

If you don't migrate your account you may not be able to purchase/download any content digitally due to region differences etc

The same thing happened to me. I even contacted support and they said Korea is not a support region yet because of internet policy issues.
