Using a phone as a wi-if hotspot

Hello, I am at my dads for the next two weeks and unfortunately he does not have any wi-if, I still brought my Xbox one and was wondering if I use my phone as a wi-if hot spot how much data will it take up. I only have a limited data plan if 5 gb a month
and I do not want to use it all on this. I do not play online I only play single player nba 2k15 but you need to be connected to Xbox live to save so this is why I'm asking. My phone is a iPhone 6 with Verizon lte. A response as fast as possible would be greatly
appreciated.

If your mobile data plan includes the hotspot feature, you can turn on the phone's wi-fi hotspot, and then connect the Xbox to that hotspot as if it were any other wi-fi router. But be aware that most plans have a limit on how much data you can use to tether,
and the Xbox would probably use a lot.

 

Cant connect to internet

So I cant seem to connect to the internet with my Xbox



I have used 2X routers, Phone WI-FI hotspot and Tablet Hotspot



Non of them worked

 

If you go into Poer & startup settings and disable "Automatically download updates and purchases" you shouldn't use more than a couple of hundred kB's every hour.

Also, If you go to Bandwidth usage in Network settings you can see an hour by hour usage for the last 12 hours and a total monthly usage. That should give you a better idea of your usage.

 

If the game I want is 6.5 gbs would it still use that much data?

If you are talking about wanting to download a game that is 6.5 gb. Then yes it will use that much data, maybe a little bit more by the time it is all said and done.

 

so I'm trying to play cod bo3 splitscreen with my profile and a guest but when it says press a it's not connecting my guest profile or sometimes it keeps switching between profiles to where I just can't play split screen I dont have internet because all
my hotspot was used up . How do I still play with the guest? As well I bought the map packs a couple months ago and when I go to try and select different map it won't be there but if I go to my games and apps theyre still there . . What's the issue someone
please help me. Just yesterday it was fine now I can't .
