tried it on my samsung monitor since i use that for gaming and yeah when i set it to full range it all goes white i cant even really see the disk unless i get about 1mm from the screen n squint at it, if i up the colour depth from 24 to 36 it becomes slightly
more visible but still not as detailed as the limited rgb range setting for tv, tried other options but nothing seemed to make it sharper on the full setting.

Yeah, I went over to a buddy's house and hooked his xbox one up to my monitor just to see if it was mine with this problem. But no, his did the same thing. How are more people not bringing this to microsoft a attention. Maybe it's just that not many people
use monitors or pc mode with their TVs. I guess sending mine in for repairs is out of the question since this is an OS bug.

Yeah, I've tried all the color depth settings to be safe, but it didn't change anything. I don't think there is any content really created using more than 24 bit anyhow , so it seems unnecessary to up it.

Hoping to hear from someone successfully using a monitor with the full range. If this is a bug in the OS, you'd think everyone using a monitor would have their pitchforks out for microsoft to fix it, since they don't, I may just have a defective unit and
might need to send it in for service.

If I was using my tv with the x1 I would use limited, but I use my monitor which won't take limited. That's why I referred to a PC monitor in the title. Surely there are others using a monitor for gaming.

So, if you set it to limited RGB everything is fine, but when you set it to full it's clipped?

Erm.......why not leave it at limited.

It's something you probably wouldn't notice unless you were looking at something you knew well or were to try and calibrate your monitor. Like I said it's just the upper ranges in the white that are clipping, but this would also affect the upper ranges of
color too. Yes, I tried manually moving it to hdmi, I even tried an hdmi to dvi cable but no luck.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about.

The first photo is on limited RBG and you can clearly see the disc icon and rain, in the second all of this detail is lost using full RBG. The rest of the spectrum seems fine and it would be easy to miss, but it's still not correct. In forza 5, if you have
a shiny car on a sunny track you're going to miss some detail in the way light reflects off of your car. It affects everything from games to movies. When I watch a movie or play a game I want to see what the artist intended for me to see.
