    Using a PC headset on the 360


    My PC headset has two 3.5mm jacks, one for audio and one for the mic. I bought a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter so that I could plug my mic cord into that to plug into the xbox controller. I then plug the audio jack into the monitor so I can hear game sound. My
    mic doesn't work though. In Black Ops 2, the mic symbol appears beside my name, but it isnt when i talk. it appears, then disappears (flashing i guess). I also can't send a voice message either.

    Egg.. you mean like the 20 buck MS xbox headset. I was thinking more like using my iphone headset that i use on my ps3 and pc which r alot cheaper then the 130 buck turtle beach that still need a mic wire to controller for my 360

    I have been looking for answers to this question for sometime now and have yet to find any official word, though I am looking for Windows 7 support. From the very few people I've discussed this with, it seems that no OS currently allows the Xbox One headsets
    to be used in an Xbox One Controller at all when using it through a PC. I actually just posted this as an idea to their suggestion page.

    The Xbox 360 Controllers on PC do in fact allow for the Xbox 360 Headsets to be used (I use this all the time while playing Payday 2 through Steam for PC, as well as in Steam chat groups) and I don't understand why they would just ignore this. I knew lots
    of people who used the 360 Headsets for PC gaming throughout the years.

    Cheap but decent gaming headset.

    As above, the Turtle Beach X11 are an excellent headset and are compatible with the 360 and PC only. Different model number for the PS3 headset.
