    I am happy for my boy to have a headset and to be able to talk with friends, but I would still like to hear the conversation through the TV speakers. Is this possible?

    Headset Functionality Question

    Is it possible using any compatible headset to be playing a game with tv snapped, whilst having the tv audio through the tv speakers only and game and chat audio through the headset only?

    I want to play the chat through my headset and the tv for others to hear. When I go to preferences>voice I checked the box for play through both speakers and headset and I turned the voice volume all the way up and the game volume all the way down and it still isn't playing through the speakers. I also tried playing the chat only through the speakers and there was no chat to be heard at all. Does anyone know how to turn the volume up for black ops 2 or is there something wrong that I can troubleshoot?

    Hey Xbox Gamer,

    Yes, you are able to set both game and party audio to play through the headset and speakers at the same time by

    configuring your audio settings.     Simply go to Settings>Display and Sound>Volume>Party Chat Output>Head and Speakers. Let us know if this helps!

    Xbox has various "Chat Mixer" options that allow you to decide how your audio is output.

    Hit the center button on your controller > Tab over to
    settings     > Display and Sound > Volume >
    Party Chat output> Select the option that best fits you (Headset and Speakers would be what you want)

    Adjust the settings on your console so chat comes through both TV speakers and headset.

    Echo using Kinect

    Sorry to hear it. The echo is usually caused when the kinect picks up the noise from the TV, especially if you have the chat coming through your speakers. The best way to get rid of that is to use the headset to chat.

    Does he have the chat going through the headset and speakers on the TV? If so try removing the option for the TV speakers. It might help.
