using a gold profile to download a games, and play with a non gold account

Hey guys nd girls, So my brother and I share an xbox 360, his account being gold and mine not being gold .At the moment the walking dead and all the episodes are free and i want to play them, My brother wont let me play on his account. he said i can download
them with his account and I can play them with my account, So is there truth behind this ? because i cant be bothred waiting for it to download to get denied by it haha, please can someone help would be much appreciated

Xbox Live Gold Account not being recognized as gold

You aren't gold though if this is the account of you are using a trial you cannot download games with gold Hess you have another profile with a home gold for xbox one games with gold

Gold on 360 and One

I'm having some issues at the moment with Fifa 14 and multiple gold accounts on the XB1.

My account with Gold is on the XB1, my son who has XB360 in his bedroom also has gold. But after installing FIFA14 under my profile and then adding my sons XBL gold account, I can access the online part of the game, but my son gets the following message:

"your gamer profile does not have the correct permissions to access this feature"

Should we both have access to FIFA14 online? Or is it restricted to the profile that downloaded it?

Any game purchased on a console is available to play by any other gamertag on that console. Exceptions would include online only games.

This means that if you brother downloads the free Walking Dead game this month you'll be able to play it on your gamertag.

Which of the profiles did you use to purchase the content, and was it on another 360?

*If* you used the non-Gold account to buy it and first downloaded it on another console, go to the other console and your Gold account would be able to play there.

1. Sign into your Xbox that you intend to use the Non-Gold profile with and set to the Home Xbox.

2. Sign into your other Non-home Xbox with your Gold Account.

The idea is that the console that you use non gold profiles on should be set to the home Xbox. This way you can sign into any other Xbox with the gold account and access gold while the other non gold profiles access gold from the home Xbox.

A Skilled Shot

Make sure the profile that has a Gold subscription is playing on the Xbox that is not marked as home. The non-Gold account can then use the xbox marked as the home account. Both accounts need to be xbox live accounts with email addresses but only one needs
a gold subscription.

Also make sure you are signed into the Gold account when marking the home xbox. Xbox live accounts are free.

Try formatting the whole HDD then downloading a non gold account and then try re-downloading gold account to usb.
