I have a friend (Opie Wan Kenobi) with an odd issue - actually two. He posted this problem himself, but the thread disappeared. I searched for forum posts with his name and it doesn't show up anywhere.

He has his TV and Cable box set up with his Xbox One, and has the Device Control enabled for both TV and box to power on AND off using Kinect. However, the Box and TV have both started spontaneously turning off at random times. The console stays on, and
with no input from Opie, the TV and box both turn themselves off.

It sounds to me like the Kinect is sending a random IR blast to power off when it shouldn't be, but I know it might be other things too. To narrow down the issue, I asked him to go to Settings -> TV & OneGuide -> Device Control and disable the turning off
tv and box when shutting down the xbox. If the issue stops, we'd know it was the Kinect sending a Power Down signal at the wrong times. If it happens again, it could be a different hardware issue. Opie said he wasn't going to do that, because he didn't want
to lose the functionality of Kinect turning off his devices for him, and that he hopes MS can patch the issue.

I'm at a loss for what to do, but thought i'd post this thread for him and direct him here to add any additional info, and in case someone has any ideas to help him. I'm hoping someone on the Support Staff might see this and have an idea.

    Thanks, folks!

    :)

TV worked after setup, but not working now... (error 0x8027025a)

So I just had the same issue. I didn't need to unplug the TV or cable box however forcing the cold boot of the Xbox One by powering down and unplugging the cable for a minute did do the trick. I also did not need to redo my settings...all functioned as
they should including Kinect powering down and on all devices. And I agree with all lets hope there is a fix / update for this cache issue soon.

In a nut shell he hit the nail on the head for all of what I am dealing with so yea I would like to see this taken care of and not sure if others are having the same issue. I wouldn't know what i would do with out this extra help since the forums are so
very hard to understand and navigate. I think the forums need to be broken down to formula and rebuilt cause every time I enter the forums I have this feeling I need a college degree to understand how it all works and how to navigate around to where I exactly
need to be. Thanks Jaymo1978 for having my back on this one. Its greatly appreciated!
