User accounts...

Hi there - just after some advice. Have just bought an Xbox one for my sons birthday, got a few days to figure out the best way of working the accounts. I was going to get a 12 month gold live membership too - so is it that you can have 2 Xbox live accounts
that can login in to the one console and make use of the gold membership, or can only one account do that.? He's only 9 so would rather not have his the only account on there with access to everything - hoping that 2 accounts on there can share somehow but
me maintain parental control. Sorry if its a stupid question - completely new to Xbox and no idea how its best to do it.! (....and hoping I've made a good decision vs. PS4..!!)

I need to know what accounts I have on my Xbox ... I have had this console for a long time and my son has been playing for this for several years. I have changed my email address and have no access to the old email address in my accounts. Then, every month,
money is being deducted from something I do not use ... I need help with that !!!!

I'm new to Xbox One - which I bought for my kids.

The box is registered to my Hotmail account - but I have also added my son's Hotmail account - and have asked them to login to that account to play their games.

How can I check what the Parental Controls are on that account? I had a look yesterday, but I assumed I would have to be logged into my account to change these things, but I couldn't see where.

Are there any other tips on setting up? I find it all a bit confusing (I never got their 360 sussed). We don't have any paid subscription - LIVE/Gold? - and so they just play the games we've bought them, I don't want them to have access to the credit card
registered on my account.

 

when you active home console with a Profile, this Shares all purchases to every other Profile on the same console, this means you can use a single Gold Membership for your whole Family

obviosly this wouldt work if you had 2 xbox one consoles

 

Exactly. Once you've added both accounts to the new console simply add the Gold membership to your account then head over to Settings on the console (say "Xbox Go To Settings) then scroll right and add your son's (and any other family members) accounts
to your Family so they can enjoy the benefits of a Gold membership as well.
