Used Xbox one with kinect and three preinstalled games

Hi, I'm new here so excuse me if I sound ignorant! I just bought a used xbox one with kinect from a highly rated ebay seller, the box says it has three preinstalled games, zoo tycoon, dance central and kinect sports rivals. Everything arrived safe and sound,
I have connected the box to my tv and wifi, the box and controller work. However, the box has a few downloaded games as well as the preinstalled games. There is an existing home profile and this is needed to play all the games. I am happy to factory reset
and lose the purchased downloaded games (fifa, minecraft and others) but if i reset will i lose the games that came with the box originally?

New Xbox with installed games?

Yes. In order for the console to already have games installed, someone else would have used it and left the console as their Home console. None of the Xbox Ones come with any preinstalled games.

The games would be tied to the original account that owned them. There is no way to transfer ownership of digital games. If the owner has the console set as their Home console, you would be able to access the games with your own account. That should still
work after a factory reset, but keep in mind that if they ever set another console as their Home or you were to get a new console, you will lose access to those games.

Thanks for the very helpful reply. If I understand after a factory reset all the downloaded games will be gone, which is fine, but the preinstalled games will be playable with my own account until I get a new one or the original owner sets another console
as home. Thanks.

If you downloaded the games on your account, they'd be tied to your account so you can redownload them and still play them.
