Ok so I bought a used 360 a few weeks ago & since then it has been running just fine & havent experienced any problems. Up until just recently Ive noticed that when its turned on it has a loud whirring noise the whole time like an old computer makes. Then
when I shut it off it takes a full minute to completley shut off, maintIning this low running noise with the green circle flashing a few times before its totally off. As Im playing Black Ops 2 & more noticeably NBA 2K14, the whole gameplay seems slow & off
compared to when I first got the console. In 2k14 it feels as if Im playing in slow motion both offline & online. In BlackOps 2 its as if Im lagging slightly even though my connection is fast so I doubt the slow online play has anything to do with my network.
So obviously this has to be a hardware issue whixh in that case I have a few important questions. Could it just need a good cleaning out (aesthetically it looks perfect but most likley the owner before me used it heavily) or am I better off just straight up
replacing it for another "new" used one since I have this warranty for it. If replacing it all togwther is what I need to do whats the best way of saving/transferring my HD data to the new 360 ? I dont have an external HD on this one , everything is saved
to the regular defualt internal HD. Could I try saving the most important things to my Cloud storage cuz thats thru xbox live right ? Or will a USB with enough GB memory work the best ? Thanks in advance

    :)

Xbox Controller vs mouse + keyboard

I used to do a lot of PC gaming before my xbox 360 and find it is significantly easier on PC than xbox.

In PC on games like Elder scrolls it is much faster to change weapons quickly (with shortcuts) then Xbox but maybe my Xbox is just slow. On Xbox being slow, I have a hell of a time getting good graphics to not lag on xbox versus my gaming PC but I guess
    thats the price.

  3. Xbox LIVE downloads terribly slow... Great Home Network Setup.

one of the downside to the xbox 360 is sadly is does not have a gigabyte Ethernet port so that will significantly slow down the speed by capping it.

Hi, not sure why your games might be running slow but from the way you describe it you console might be having issues with keeping it self cool. this is what happens when you shut down and it keeps fanning the processor. So first make sure your console is
in a well ventilated space here is a page that will help with the setup.
    support.xbox.com/.../console-setup

the other thing to try would be to, as you mentioned, use a dust to try to remove any excess dust in the console.

now if non of that works and you find yourself replacing the console, I would recommend a USB drive to move your content, you can set a couple of 32gb sized ones, this page will walk you though the process

    support.xbox.com/.../usb-flash-drive

    hope that helps
