    Bought console with 14day live gold trial which never worked. Known issue affects so many.

    What do you mean by the trial not working?

    Trials do not give you a full gold membership,they only give you limited access to some xbox live gold features & a lot of games will not let you play online with a trial.

    A lot of people do not realise this & think that the trial is not working when in fact it is.

    Are you saying that you used the 14 day trial and then underneath the 14 days it stopped working? Its not 14 time you sign on it is 14 days from the day you first used the trial. If you liked what you saw and used when connected to live I suggest getting
    a gold membership.

    Hi,

    A trial code will not turn your Silver account into a Gold one, however if you redeemed the code without any error you should be able to play any multiplayer game, so did you check?

    A trial membership only offers some access to Multiplayer features. This is usually limited to the game the trial came with for unranked multiplayer matches.

    I also wanted to mention that your gamertag is currently showing as having a full Gold membership.

    Hello, I have been redirected here by a Live Chat assistant to help resolve an issue that is not in their power. Today 2/13/16 at about 3:50 AM I redeemed a 2-day trial code into my account. The code was accepted and I confirmed it after I entered it. I
    tried to play multiplayer, but I couldn't. I was redirected to the screen to purchase gold or redeem a code. Same happened when I attempted to start an Xbox Live Party Chat. I then tried to re-redeem the same code, but it said I had used it already. With no
    access to Xbox Live services for about 20 minutes, I went to get assistance from Xbox Support. The first operator, "Reid L.", assisted me well and had let me know it could have been an issue with refreshing the system. So I refreshed my network and Xbox, but
    no luck. The operator assured me in time within an hour exactly, my 2-day trial will be in affect and I will have online services. Time was about 4:30 AM, I had to leave for work. I told the operator to leave me with a service request code as I had no time
    to continue on with the issue, but did thank him for helping. at about 7:20 AM, I checked with my brother to see if multiplayer services were working, still no luck. At this point I checked back in with Xbox Support using my request number. Request Number:
    [Removed] The new operator, "Jade", attempted to fix the issue. This time, Jade was sure the issue would be solved by the time we ended the chat. Well, although both operators failed to fix the issue themselves, they did put in their effort,
    and I truly appreciate it. I'm writing such a long post to try clearing up any confusion the Ambassador may have while reading. At this point all I ask is that my trial time starts as soon as the service actually works for my account, not when I redeemed it,
    as I was unable to even use it. Thank you.

    Sorry to hear it. As I mentioned in the post above yours, trial memberships are usually limited to the game they came with and only offers some access to online features. If you are trying to access ranked games you will not be able to.

    However, if the membership is not showing up on your account at all and phone support were unable to help then I'm not sure what anyone here will be able to do as the people who post here are only gamers like yourself.

    Well I am trying to play the game that it came with... Also It's not that 'some' things aren't working, all online features are unavailable to me. So are you telling me I was given a useless 2-day trial? Is there really no real solution to my problem? If

    as much as I wanted this to be fixed, I will just purchase gold, it's just irritating knowing I was given a faulty 2-day trial.. That has never happened before.... Thanks for the advice..

    Those trials are extremely limited in what they allow you to do. Unfortunately, there is nothing any one in the forums can do to assist as that would definitely be handled by the support team. You will be much better satisfied with a Gold membership. Happy

    9 times out of 10 2-14day trials will have issues redeeming on console if you have ever had gold before, best thing to do is redeem the code online here 99% of the time the 2-14day trial codes will work redeeming them online rather than on the console then
    power cycle your xbox console and try again.
