  1. Use your TV remote to control your Xbox for Xbox One X ?

Is this new feature only available for the Series X or should I be able to use it on my One X as well?

I do NOT see an option my settings (running the newest Alpha Skip available)

This is what it says in the release notes, but as stated I do NOT see this option on my One X

"How to enable: Go to Settings > Power mode & start up > TV & A/V power options and check “Use TV remote for console” and “Switch TV input using controller”. Remember to enable CEC on your TV as well (specific instructions may vary)."

    Xbox One media remote

    Hi there Leper,

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the compatibility between the Xbox One Media remote and TV.

Check out the following troubleshooting article:

If the problem persists, try this:

The Media Remote works for most functions but will not control my TV

Controlling your TV with the Media Remote requires you to first configure your Xbox One to control your TV through the console settings. To learn how to do this, see

Set up live TV with your Xbox One
    .

Try this out and let us know the results.

The new media remote works just like your controller. The programming is done under settings in your Xbox One. The remote uses the IR Blaster in your Kinect to control your TV, receiver and cable box. If this hasn't been set up in the Xbox One...you wont
be able to control those items.

    A/V power options

Do you have an original Xbox One, or a Xbox One S/X? If you have the original Xbox One (not the S or X) you will need to have Kinect in order to have the Xbox control your A/V equipment.

If you do have Kinect and/or a Xbox One S/X, make sure that the IR Blaster on the Kinect and the console aren't obstructed, and that the IR light can hit your equipment. If you have a home theater with dark walls, it might be that the IR signal can't be
reflected off the walls towards the A/V equipment.

And finally: The TV needs to be able to be controlled via Infrared remote controls. If you have a very modern TV with a Bluetooth remote, the Xbox can't control that. It has to be Infrared controlled.

Correct remote code, but remote doesn't work

I think thats a little misunderstanding. The One can not react on the remote commands from your cable or tv remotes at all.

The One is able to send these remote commands itself and act as a remote control that way. So you are able to use smartglass as universal remote to control your devices via the One or use voice commands to do the same with the kinect. But you cannot use
your remotes to do anything on the One.

Of course you can use your remote controls to send commands to the respective device even if the One is configured to control them. It's more like you can choose to control your TV and cable box with the One (with Kinect, Smartglass or controller ) AND/OR
    your usual remotes.

Hello. If you can control your soundbar's volume using your TV remote, then use the TV code for your TV on the Xbox 360 remote and see if it works. I have linked to the appropriate pages for the NEWER remote.

B&W (Bowers and Wilkins) are NOT a listed manufacturer under the codes section. If you spent $2,000+ on a B&W Panorama Soundbar, it might be a better idea to spend a couple hundred on a better Universal Remote such as the Harmony Line from Logitech that
has a wide list of supported brands and learning functionality.

    Xbox Media Remote:

    Setup Page:
    support.xbox.com/.../media-remote

    Codes:
    download.microsoft.com/.../Xbox_360_Media_Remote_New_TV_Codes.pdf

Based on the information I found about your specific soundbar it has the capability to be controlled by your TV's remote control assuming your TV supports those features. If you have the capability to use your TV remote to control the volume of your soundbar,
then it's possible that the TV code for your TV can be used for this soundbar via the Xbox 360 media remote.

Even if there was a Bowers and Wilkins code for this remote, you would lose the ability to control your TV as you can only program 1 device at a time for this remote.
