    Hi Xbox community,

    I’m based here in the US. My plan is buy a Xbox series X and game pass here in the US, then gift it over to my nephew for his birthday in Vietnam (unsupported country yet).

    Could it still work for him to enjoy Xbox games in Vietnam?

    Unfortunately not, game pass subscriptions are region locked; therefore he wouldn't be able to use it!

    Yes. Redeeming the code will upgrade your Gold, but if you're in an unsupported country, you may not be able to actually use Game Pass.

    Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can be used on Xbox One, Windows 10, Android (Cloud Gaming) & Xbox Series X|S The subscription is tied to your account, not the console.

    Unfortunately no, if you live in an unsupported country you'll have to wait until Game pass ultimate becomes available in your region.

    You’re welcome and you’re correct. But Xbox Game Pass is not available for Xbox 360, it’s only available on Xbox One as well as Xbox Series X|S and that’s why you’re getting the error.

    If you have an Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S you will be able to use the subscription both on PC and Xbox.
