Use the Headset on the PC

Is it possible to use xbox one's headset on the computer as a mic , since it works with the new drivers?

If your into are more hands on approach and know how to use a soldiering iron to make the cables -

This guy got a razor headset working on his xbox -

If your a DIYer this might be a solution. If not buy a compatible branded headset.

 

Question about a pc headset and the stereo headset adapter

I have a friend who has a headset he uses on the pc. It has two wires coming out, a mic wire and the audio wire. I found an adapter that merges the two cables into one. If he was to use the Microsoft stereo headset adapter with his pc headset and the
2-1 adapter plugged in to the MS stereo headset adapter, would he be able to use the headset?

 

I think just the controller is compatible right now as far I know. I haven't heard anything about being able to use the headset on the pc.

 

having the same issue..The June 2014 drivers do not include a stereo headset adapter driver..is there any updated drivers or solutions to this problem yet??I would imagine with windows 10 introducing cross platform gaming this will be a hot topic
