    Hey all, I'm trying to get my brother to use a different Xbox profile than me, and the only reason he won't is because he'll lose all his progress on the games he plays. He has a good point; any way to make this work?

    Hi! Are you using xbox one or 360? If, xbox 360, Are you also referring to saved game data and plan to move to another xbox 360? Follow this link below:

    support.xbox.com/.../manage-games-data

    If you use xbox one, your saved data are automatically stored to cloud storage if you are connected to xbox live and if you plan to use it on another xbox one, simply sign in your profile and launch the game, it will sync your recent saved game.

    He has already logged in on the new xbox. Can't he just use the cloud saved games to move the data from one xbox to another?

    Unfortunately there is no way to transfer game saves for him to continue his progress on a different gamertag. Sorry Use Saved Data from another profile :(

    Unfortunately, cant use save data from another profile. That save file is tied to that account only.

    Content cannot be transferred from one profile to another.

    But data ie, game saves and DLC can be transferred from one HDD to another via a data transfer cable, but will only work under the profile that it was downloaded into.
