    Use Hall effect joysticks please

I know they are a bit more expensive but PLEASE Microsoft in all of your next controllers for the joy sticks USE HALL EFFECT SENSORS they never get stick drift and don’t involve any physical contact along with that they use magnets which makes them better as well (because the elite controllers totally need an excessive amount of magnets haha) and the current sticks you use have a life time of about 2000000 cycles and that’s 4 months to get stick drift on 2 hours a day and as I said Hall effects never get drift

Xbox One S turns on and displays are OK, but each screen moves the "cursor" to the far right and won't return to normal operation.

    Sync and resyjmc your controller

    You may have stick.drift

Right now.xbox controllers are on sale.or you could.get a new 3rd gen controllers if you are in the us the stealth ultra and victis bFg are out. With hall effect sticks which removes wear and tear issues not to mention Has a DAC and replacable thumbsticks and programmable.keys the new 3rd gen elite will be out later next year

Hall Effect joysticks are a type of joysticks that use magnets and electrical conductors to measure their position, distance, and movement when in use. Unlike standard analog sticks, which use electrical resistance to detect movement, Hall Effect joysticks have no physical contact between the moving parts. This means that they do not wear out easily, and they do not develop stick drift, which is a common pain point for gamers

Right now they only coming out on consoles and pc as expensive controllers but they do come wirh technology that make it worth it like LCD display 1000 polling rate and programmable keys and switchable parts

Xbox series X controller keeps drifting up

I’ve been alternating between the 8bitdo ultimate for Xbox (was down to 20$ for a few week on Amazon) and the Gamesir G7 se (with Hall effects

Joysticks). Unfortunately they are both wired. The 8bitdo feels better and has an amazing app interface with mappable everything, vibration settings, tigger vibrations, multiple profiles, programmable back buttons and feels great in the hand if your an adult,, but it’s doesn’t have hall effect joysticks. So, I’m sure how they’ll be in a few months. The g7 se is good and has Hall effects but doesn’t feel as solid at the 8bitdo and is a bit more expensive at 45-50$ at most retailers. If you can find the 8bitdo ultimate for under 30$ I highly recommend it. It just sucks that there’s no decent wireless alternatives at a sub 100$ price point.

Why is it whenever I move my joystick forward in a game my character continues moving even when not touching it it is the same problem on UI in games

Sadly it's a downside of the current analog stick technology used by most controllers, but there are some controllers which use newer 'hall effect' sticks which are less susceptible to this issue. The GameSir G7 SE for example is a 3rd party Xbox controller which uses hall effect sticks.

Are These Fake or Genuine Xbox Series & Xbox One Controllers? And are They a Worthy Upgrades?

Well the thing is hall effect controllers are only a recent thing

Hall effects isn't just a simple new part

It's so new no-one knows.if it does what it promises yet but with the replacable parts it will be cheaper to fix

People still swear by the analog sticks vs hall effects.

But the zero. Deadzone will.be a bonus even sony only recently had this addition for ps5

    It's that new.

Keep in mind the cost is average 200 bucks for hall effects controllers and the technology hasn't been proven yet so it is a huge risk to users and you need a phone to use it for turtle beach

xbox 360 controller Left analog stick ghosting issues People who knows their wireless controllers

They use the same cheap potentiometer mechanical sensors on the joysticks. Every official MS controller will eventually start having problems. Guessing the encoding and zeroing on the different board models have different reactions to the pots wearing out.
Sony switched over to Hall effect sensors because of this since they aren't mechanical will never wear out even if the spring cage does and can be far more precise.
