Discus and support use box one for tv remote in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I want to use the xbox one to control my tv and receiver (turn them on and off) so I don't have so many remotes to use is there a way to set this up?...     TV: Freeview HD?

    I believe it controls the remote functions, via the blaster. Like using a new one for all remote or sky remote (does with your tv) to run the freeview box functionality..

    HDMI Pass-through Question

    To take full advantage the cable/ TV box will need to be HDMI CEC. This will give Xbox One the ability to change channels via the Xbox One TV guide. If not CEC you will have to use TV box remote to change channels.

    What part of this didn't work? It should be pretty straight forward, cable box to Hdmi input on xbox one, xbox one hdmi out to tv. Click on the tv app on the xbox one, and than use cable box remote to switch tv channels.

    The feature i like the most

    You wouldn't have to switch inputs to DVR once it's your DVR box that's using the pass through on the One. At most I think you'd have to go to the tv section on the One and then use the remote for your DVR box.
