    use account balance not credit card


    i do not have xbox console or credit card have been playing wsop fullhouse pro on pc

    i purchased xbox live gold prepaid card joined and created avatar this would lead me to believe that if i purchased a xbox $25 prepaid card (which was accepted on my pc) i would be able to buy things on avatar marketplace and wsop store but i cannot
    find this option only ask for credit card please tell me how to fix this or when system will be updated to fix this problem

    Mini-Survey: How do you purchase your digital content on Xbox Live?

    A mix of Credit Card and online gift cards. The Xbox Live marketplace is weird for me, it charges me tax when using a credit card directly, but doesn't charge me any tax when using my Microsoft account balance. So usually what I tend to do is always makes sure I have something in my account balance so when I use my credit card, it only subtracts what was left over after taking from the account, and this never includes tax.

    Probably a stupid question

    If you are purchasing Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One you have to use a credit card or Paypal. You cannot use a pre-existing balance on your Microsoft account. If you want to use that balance, then you need to purchase it on the Xbox 360 first.

    Hey there,

    I am not entirely sure about what they have done with the option. You used to be able to press "x" on your controller, and it would flick between points and paying it on your Bank Card.

    If I manage to get onto my Windows 8 PC, I will have a look for you to see if there is a similar option on the Games for Windows App.

    I would recommend trying to buy the add ons through the Website, as that may help use account balance not credit card :)

    thats what i was trying to buy things on windows 8 pc on xbox.com avatar maketplace but only option i get is for credit card then on wsop store it sends you to xbox games app and same thing ask for credit card with no other option

    As long as you do not have an outstanding balance on your account you can use a credit card, a subscription card, or the balance on your account.

    If there are oustanding balances on your account they have to be cleared with a new credit card.

    If you used a friends credit card to pay for the service and it has not cleared you will have clear a balance on the account with your own credit card as you are using the service, if you paid your friend then that is a matter between you and him.

    Pre order

    It depends on the payment method you use. If you use your Microsoft account balance, the funds are taken immediately. If you use a credit card/Paypal or split payment between your Microsoft account balance and a credit card, the funds are taken within 10 days of the game's release.
