    USB won't work


    So i recently got USB drive for my Xbox its 256GB and i download some games on there. I got up one day and couldn't find the storage i know the USB is getting power because it was hot when i took it out also my phone is being charged on it. It stopped
    working when i plugged a mouse and keyboard to play a game, idk how that could affect it but thats the only thing i could come up with. I didnt take it out or do anything to the settings it just stopped. I'm up for any ideas i've gone in settings a hundred
    times and have turned it off and on. Can anyone give me some advice.

    I Did not notice anything about the heat changing it might be that hot always idk but i do know it worked with my laptop.

    You mention the USB to be "hot".

    Was the USB "hotter" than usual? Maybe something broke on your drive because of the excess heat? Or the heat is caused by something being broken?

    Is the USB drive detected by your PC?

    Hi Smokey,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. Have you tried other USB ports on the console? You can try using the

    troubleshoot for cant detect external HD     this is for any device USB. Also if it was getting hot from the phone charger it could of burned it or made it where it doesn't work. Try other ports see if they work.
