You can certainly try the webcam if you like and post back if it works but I don't think it will. The Xbox One console was specifically made so the Kinect sensor will function great with it. It may be that you will need to purchase a sensor.

I'm not sure which country you live in but sites like kijiji or craigslist may have sensors available from some people who don't want them for a cheap price.

please do not bump old threads but no the only way to do the video thing on a One is with the Kinnect sensor there is no way to install drivers onto a game console unless they are from MS themselves (IE firmware updates or game/system updates).
