USB Transfer Issues

Okay, so I put a USB stick into my Xbox 360 E, to copy/move/delete xbox saved games, profiles, and avatar items. It worked just fine. Then I plugged it into my computer to look at the files.

When I put the USB back into the Xbox, I could only move SOME of the files back - for some reason, our 4 gamer profiles, and the avatar packs, say they have "corrupted" and I couldn't transfer them back to the Xbox. When I tried to transfer the remaining
files back (that was how I discovered they are "corrupted"), it says I need to sign in to an Xbox LIVE profile to transfer them.

What am I supposed to do? I'm not technologically savvy, and I want to be able to access my Xbox 360 once more.

i have a profile on his console....im guessing i have to go in and just transfer my whole profile instead of just the selected game saves right?

The licenses are tied to the DLC, not game saves. Are the saves on your brother's profile, or do you have a profile on his console? If it's your profile, you can either recover the account to your console, or transfer it over on a USB drive. If the account
belongs to your brother, you'll need to start a new game.

 

When the Xbox 360 formats a flash drive, all of the files are stored in a proprietary Xbox 360 file system that is only partially viewable to PCs.
Modifying the contents on the drive can potentially corrupt the files and render them unreadable on the Xbox 360.

Keep in mind that your Xbox Live profile and avatar items should already be stored in the Microsoft cloud, especially if you connected your Xbox to the internet recently. Locally saved games on the Xbox 360 can also be transferred to the cloud (if you currently have
an active Gold subscription). I suggest transferring all of your saved games to the cloud in case you want to access them on another Xbox 360 or the Xbox One.
