    USB to Optical options


    I bought a Series X and since there is no Optical port i can no longer use Optical to get game sound to mu Headset Mix amp, when i have the USB from Mix amp connected to my computer.

    Old setup was

    1. Obox One X connected to Mix amp thru Optical Cable

    2. Micro USB to Computer

    PROBLEM

    Due to no Optical I am forced to use USB to bring sound to Mix amp.

    SOLUTION?

    Is there a Converter available that will convert USB to OPTICAL that works with Xbox SERIES X?

    No, sorry.

    At the moment there's no option to output audio to USB, only HDMI and optical cable.

    The Xbox One does not support audio out with USB, you must use an optical out (SPDIF) to your audio system.

    If there are adapters for optical to USB I have no idea and we can't recommend that.

    But it will send the data down USB instead of optical.

    OPTICAL DISK'S CAPACITY

    Because optical discs are dirt cheap to make. If you compare the cost of a fraction of a cent to press a game on an optical disc compared to several dollars for an USB flashdrive of 8GB capacity (or more), then you will see why they still use optical media.
    If you don't like that, there is always the Game on Demand download service, where you can buy the USB drive yourself and download the game on USB if you want.

    There are multiple articles stating audio compatibility via USB. If optical is necessary, there are various HDMI to optical devices available which you may need to add.
